The city of Brest is located on the very edge of Europe in northwest France. As the second largest town in the region of Brittany, Brest is sheltered by a large natural harbor known as "La Rade de Brest".

Le Quartz, Brest's Conference Centre and National Theatre is located in the heart of the town of Brest, and has hosted a wide range of national and international events since it opened in 1988.
